Assassin's Creed Unity-

This was the first Assassin's Creed game built for what was at the time the new generation of console, the PS4 or Xbox one. When this game came out it got a lot of heat for having a lot of glitches, boring story mode, and overall broken in game mechanics. While they made a patch that makes the game pretty much flow without any problems, it still has bugs.

The city of Paris, looks amazing, reminds me of the very short period of time I got a chance to spend in that beautiful city. The game divides the city into different arrondissements, with each neighborhood having its own unique flair and culture. I mean the game is so beautiful that they say that they are using it to help rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral.

The story is nice, I like how they tried to make a strong female character in Elise. However, while the attempt was nice, and I liked that Ubisoft was going to do a romantic angle, but I think that in the scheme of doing it in tandem with the traditional Assassins vs Templar narrative the game ends up feeling cluttered. A byproduct of this feeling is that the game lacks serious motivation to care about the characters.

Another big issue is that the game doesn’t make you utilize the setting well. The French Revolution is a great time period for an Assassins game, but the game doesn’t take advantage. Robespierre and Napoleon barely are part of the game, even though the story treats them as if they are major characters. Plus, there is no incentive to explore the beautifully designed Parisian streets.

The game has potential, but it falls short. I had a good time playing it, but the main vibe I got when it was completed was: wow I feel like there is so much more I could do with this setting. The love story was a nice try, and there is some chemistry. Overall a good way to pass some free time during quarantine. Bully is a game that can be considered Grand Theft Auto for kids.

Bully is a game that can be considered Grand Theft Auto for kids. The game stars a character named Jimmy Hopkins, who bears a striking similarity to famous soccer player Wayne Rooney, and his trials in the fictional Bullworth Academy. The game itself is super ahead of the curve for when it came out. Playing this game you will have a lot of fun making Jimmy do sophomoric things like play pranks in class, but also do some cooler things like boxing. There is also an in game reward system where you can save up cash to buy nicer outfits and bikes and so on.

The game has such a compelling story to it. You find yourself in this new boarding school where it seems like every person there has some problem with you, and to top it all off you have a ruthlessly unfair dean. While this may seem like the plot of any high school drama, what makes it different is that Jimmy’s character undergoes 0 character progression, but rather makes the world he is placed in more suitable for himself/the player. This leads to a lot of fun. The game’s map is also huge considering the time it came out.

Overall, you will have a lot of fun playing this game, the proof is in the fact that so many people are still reviewing, and making youtube videos about this game even though there has been little talk of a sequel since it came out in 2006.
